Increasing energy
costs! Not only agriculture is looking for alternatives for the conventional
fossil energy sources like oil and gas. Here renewable resources,
available for the farmer, are in the foreground. Bioflamm solid fuel burners
for wood chips in combination with STELA air heaters proven in practice
for many years are a profitable alternative.
The concept of the Bioflamm shear grate firing in combination with a
STELA air heater has proven itself for maize drying for the second season
now. This firing was designed for the thermal use of untreated fuels. Also
low-quality wood chips high in ashes can be used without problems. Fuels with a
water content of up to 50 % (W 50) and a size of G 50 are fed into the
Bioflamm shear grate firing via an automatically controlled conveying
system. An indirect air heater if flanged onto this solid fuel burner.
The drying air is heated up to temperatures of up to 130 °C by this indirect air
heater with the combustion chamber and the gas passes as heat exchanger surfaces
constructively separated from the process air zones. The indirect air heater
consists of an outer casing, an intermediate casing against radiation losses and
a closed combustion chamber.
STELA Laxhuber offer as first
manufacturer safety-tested, indirect air heaters with an efficiency of more than
90 %.
