Special drier for breakfast cereals

Increasingly complex geometric designs make higher and higher demands
on the drying technology.

___________________________________________________________________________

We are specialists for the drying of coated and uncoated breakfast cereals!

The new geometries with partly very concave / convex forms often cause unwelcome product agglomerations in the drier. Consequently, the individual extrudates stick together on the one hand and, on the other hand, there is an uneven drying result because the moisture at the contact points can be drained off very badly.

The operators demand good cleaning possibilities because of the use of highly sticky spraying solvents. STELA meets these requirements and offers a tailor-made programme of belt driers for breakfast cereals. No matter whether it concerns flakes or extrudates, one, two or multiple belt driers.

Here e.g. you can see a plant designed as 3-belt drier

Sectional view of the drier:

• product feed on the left side
• the products run through a pre-drying
  zone (red),
• then reach the main drying zone
(yellow) and the cooling zone (blue).

The drier is divided into several temperature and air zones so that it can adapt itself
optimally to the respective product parameters. A fully automatic control system takes
over on request the control of the specific optimal air temperature and volume and adapts
them to the variable product and environmental factors.

• The drier belts consist of web belts, designed in special steel, which can be cleaned
individually by a high-pressure cleaning system with a precisely proportioned jet of water.

• The drier consists of a frame construction taking over all supporting tasks. This it is
possible to equip the four sides with largely-dimensioned doors. Also the drier bottom and
  top can be opened completely.

The systems works with a very low bed depth. That is one of the basic conditions to
  achieve a high product quality.

The plant can also be designed CIP compatible on demand.

STELA presents a world innovation – the first and only belt drier with integrated CIP cleaning
